The Long Island Heritage Trail
Long Island’s Heritage Trail runs west to east on Long Island, stretching from Great Neck to Port Jefferson along the north shore (Gold Coast) Route 25A, which was once known as Kings Highway originating back in the 1700’s. George Washington in 1790 traveled via a horse-drawn carriage to thank his Long Island supporters and spy ring for their help in winning the American Revolution.
Upon staying at The Inn At Fox Hollow and visiting the surrounding area (i.e. the Gold Coast of Long Island) one may visit the many attractions that line one of the most beautiful coasts in America. The coast is lined with exquisite museums, arboretums, parks, restaurants, main street like shops, farm houses, mansions, etc…
